The Role
AI & Automation Engineer
ARK Digital builds AI features for clients, and ARK Group automates its own operations across trade and corporate functions. This role sits across both — applied work, measured on whether it holds up in production.
What you'll do
- Build AI-backed features into client products and into ARK's internal systems
- Design and maintain automation across group operations
- Evaluate models and approaches on cost, latency and accuracy, then choose
- Instrument what you ship so its behaviour can be measured
- Keep current with a field that moves faster than any roadmap
What we're looking for
- Strong Python or TypeScript
- Practical experience with LLM APIs, retrieval and evaluation
- You have taken an AI feature to production and dealt with what broke
- Sound judgement about where AI helps and where it is the wrong tool
Nice to have
- Agent frameworks and tool use
- Data pipelines and vector stores
- MLOps and observability
